PDG Environmental Announces New Contracts In Excess of $8 Million
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 2006--PDG Environmental, Inc. (OTC BB: PDGE - News), a leading provider of environmental remediation and specialty contracting services, announced that it has been awarded a number of contracts for asbestos abatement, lead abatement, interior demolition, and related services worth, in aggregate, over $8 million. This includes three unit-price contracts from New York City's Department of Housing Preservation & Development, valued at $5.4 million, for lead abatement services within the five boroughs; the initial contracts are for a one-year term with an option to be extended. In addition, PDG Environmental has been awarded projects worth $2.1 million for interior demolition, asbestos abatement, and mold remediation in southern Florida, along with $0.6 million for asbestos abatement at four schools in northeastern Pennsylvania. All contracts, with the exception of the New York City work, are expected to be completed this summer.
